Not much (anything) here about how well you got on with scratch though ..
It was quite tricky to pick up the lesson today and I was disappointed not to be able to get round and look at all of the projects..
I wanted to give you a lot of time so that you could get on with building your own game but I don’t think that the large amount of time in the lesson was used well by most, perhaps you thought there was more time than there was. I’d really welcome your thoughts.
I didn’t have any time to do the videos but I do have the voice recordings, unfortunately most of the recordings are “messing about”, I guess that leaving a mic in the class like that isn’t such a good idea! I’ll try and get some samples here soon.
You may notice that Scratch doesn’t have a command that allows you to turn around and face the other way. The helecopter normally faces to the right (90) if you <Point in direction 180> (that is point left) then you’ll find you are upside down.
The trick is to create a new costume, do into the editor and flip vertically and save. Now when toy want to turn around you just change costume
First person who comes to me and says “I’m no april fool” will get themselves a memory stick.
I’ve just found out that you have a PSHE day on Tuesday next (18th March) so there will be no ICT lesson - no Scratch.
The school is closed for your lesson after that (Easter Monday) BUT Mr McElroy has said that I can come in on April 1st (which is all fools day). What do you say that we all wear odd socks on that day?
